How to Make an Exponent in Google Slides (Easiest Way in 2024)
In this tutorial, we will show you exactly how to make exponents in Google Slides. Simply follow the steps below.

How to Add Exponents in Google Slides
Follow the steps below to learn how to create exponents in Google Slides.
1. Select or Create a Text Box for Your Expression
Click on the text box where you want to add the exponent. If there is no text box, create one by selecting the Text box option from the toolbar.

2. Type the Base Number or Main Expression
Type the base number or the main part of the expression in the text box. For example, if you’re writing x², type x first before formatting the exponent.

3. Highlight the Number or Letter to be Superscript
Highlight the character or number that will be the exponent. In this example, highlight the 2 in x² or any other letter/number that needs to be formatted as a superscript.

4. Apply Superscript Formatting Using the Format Menu
Click on the Format menu in the top bar, go to Text, and select Superscript. This will raise the highlighted text and make it smaller, formatting it as an exponent.

5. Confirm the Exponent is Correctly Displayed
Review the text to ensure the exponent is formatted correctly. The exponent should now appear smaller and raised, as in x².
