1. Select the Image You Want to Change

Click on the image in your Google Slides presentation that you want to modify. The image will be highlighted with a blue border, indicating it’s ready for editing.

2. Choose the Mask Image from the Toolbar

With the image selected, locate the toolbar at the top of the screen. Find the crop icon in the toolbar. Next to this icon, there’s a small arrow that reveals more shape options when clicked. Click the Mask Image arrow which will let you change the image shape. 

3. Select a New Shape for Your Image from the Mask Image Dropdown

In the Mask Image dropdown menu, choose a shape like a circle, star, or arrow. The selected shape will instantly be applied to the image, changing its outline.

4. Adjust the Image Inside the New Shape

After the shape is applied, you can resize or reposition the image to fit better inside the new shape. Simply drag or resize the image within the boundaries of the shape.

5. Finalize the Shape Change by Pressing Enter

Once you’re happy with the shape and image placement, press Enter or click outside the image. The shape change will be saved, and the image will display in its new form on the slide.
