1. Insert Word Art into Your Slide

Click on the “Insert” menu located at the top of your screen. From the dropdown options, select “Word Art.”

Once selected, a text box will appear on your slide. Here, type something significant like a title; in our case, we’ll use “Class of 2024 Graduation Ceremony.” Press “Enter” to create your Word Art.

2. Select the Word Art to Modify It

To modify your Word Art, you must first select it. Click directly on the text, and you should see a blue box appear around it. This indicates that it is active and ready to be edited.

3. Set the Border Thickness

In the toolbar at the top of the window, you’ll find the “Border weight” icon. Click this icon and select a suitable thickness for your border from the dropdown menu. The thicker the border, the more pronounced it will appear. In our example, we will choose 2px.

4. Customize the Border Style

For a more stylized border, you can adjust the dash type. Next to the “Border weight” icon in the toolbar, there is a “Border dash” icon. Click it and choose from styles like solid, dashed, or dotted lines to give your border a unique look. In our example, we will use the solid line.

5. Review the Final Results

Once you have applied all the settings, click outside the Word Art text box to deselect it and view the results. Check the enhanced border around your text to ensure it appears as expected.
